David Pike鈥檚 new book,聽Franco y el Eje Roma-Berl铆n-Tokio: una alianza no firmada, has just been published in Madrid, Spain by Editorial Alianza.聽 It includes sixteen photographs, most of them up to now unpublished, of Hitler鈥檚 and Mussolini鈥檚 inner circles; the photos were supplied by聽S眉ddeutsche Zeitung in Munich and Cinecitt脿 Luce in Rome. The new work is not a simple translation of the 2008 Macmillan edition. Not only revisions but also reflections have been introduced, and it opens with a Prologue to the Spanish Reader that describes the experiences of the author while living in Murcia, Seville and Cordoba in the mid-1950s under the Franco regime.

The people that I met at AGS will remain my friends forever, despite the fact that they are now all over the world. I know each one of my professors personally and keep in touch with them. I don't think that I would ever have been as involved in my grad school if I had gone to a larger institution.
