Read more...On March 3rd, as French President Nicolas Sarkozy was meeting with his Russian counterpart, Professor Anton Koslov participated in a TV debate about聽the political and press freedom in Russia, and the聽relationship between the two nations.

Along with Professor Koslov were George-Frederick Jewsbury, Historian, Associate researcher at the CERCEC (Centre d'茅tudes des mondes russe, caucasien et centre-europ茅en),聽John Laughland, Academic Dean of the Institute of Democracy and Cooperation, and聽Robert Amsterdam, International Lawyer and Partner at Amsterdam and Peroff Law Firm in London.

Read more...Dr. Anton Koslov spoke on "The Crisis of Modernity: Asymetry, Uncertainty and the Emerging Political Culture" on April 10th at Arcadia University. This lecture was part of a visiting professorship at AGS's partner institution , Pennsylvania, where he is teaching until the end of the Spring semester.

In the past fifteen years, basic concepts of international relations associated with the Yalta agreement have been challenged. The end of a bi-polar world, humanitarian interventions, the war on terror all point to the emergence of a new system of international relations. The main features of this system are asymetry and uncertainty. Dr. Koslov addressed these issues as well as their larger implications for global peace and security.
