Through a partnership between the 国产 福利 高清 in Paris and University of California Berkeley Extension, AGS students have the opportunity to attend a two-month summer program on Management and Leadership in San Francisco, United States, and earn a graduate certificate from UC Berkeley Extension, the continuing and professional education school of the University of California, Berkeley.
This intensive program provides students with the skills to lead a productive workforce, address ethical matters that concern organizations, and influence change across an organization.
It serves as a perfect complement to International Relations studies for those looking to pursue leadership positions in international affairs. While the program focuses on business organizations, the skills provided are transferrable to other types or organizations as well, such as NGOs , Intergovernmental organizations or government agencies.
Time and Location
The Management and Leadership two-month International Diploma Program takes place every year in June and July.
Courses are held in UC Berkeley Extension鈥檚 Downtown Center in San Francisco, in the heart of the city鈥檚 financial district.
Curriculum
The curriculum consists of 4 core courses and 1 prescribed elective, for a total of 150 hours of instruction.
Core courses
Effective Leadership and Management: Understanding and Influencing the Dynamics of Organizations
Learn how to apply concepts and strategies to navigate and influence your organization鈥檚 behavior, and understand how individual and organizational behavior impact the achievement of the organization鈥檚 goals.
Organizational Communication Stategies for Managers
Gain the skills needed to communicate effectively in a complex business environment. Learn how to be flexible so you can communicate with various types of partner organizations.
Leadership, Influence, and Power in Organizations
Explore how leaders use power and influence to achieve organizational commitment and effectiveness. Discuss topics such as organizational culture, appropriate types of power, influence with and without authority, business ethics, and effective goal setting and planning.
Managing Change and Ambiguity in the Workplace
Learn how to foster goodwill and commitment during times of transition to create and maintain a high-performance organization.
 Prescribed Electives (one available each term)
Business Ethics and Social Responsibility
Explore ethical questions that confront a business when it is faced with social, political and legal issues. Examine the role of business in formulating social conscience, and learn how to recognize and address ethical issues.
Business Negotiating
Learn the strategies and tactics needed to influence others and reach long-lasting, profitable agreements. This highly interactive course teaches you successful negotiation skills though role play and case studies from real life.
Credits
The coursework in this program is accredited in the United States by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), through the University of California, Berkeley鈥檚 accreditation. Credits may be transferred to another program in a related discipline at the discretion of the particular institution.
Please note that while what is taught in this program is complementary to the discipline of international relations, it may not be substituted for any of the material covered in the International Relations and Diplomacy Master鈥檚 or Ph.D. programs at AGS, and therefore the coursework is not transferrable to any degree program at AGS.

The tuition for the two-month program is USD. 6,500. It is payable to UC Berkeley Extension.

Note that housing is not included in the program fee. However, UC Berkeley Extension provides support to students in finding housing.
Admissions
Application pre-requisites
Thanks to the academic partnership between AGS and UC Berkeley Extension, and based on the fact that admissions criteria at AGS meet UC Berkeley Extension standards, students enrolled in any Master鈥檚, Ph.D. or Certificate program at AGS and wishing to join the Management and Leadership summer program will be admitted (as space allows).
